Email

Hide e-mail addresses when you SEND mail.

Many people don't realize that by simply forwarding emails, they are also forwarding everyone's email addresses!

If you want to send an e-mail to a group of friends or associates, and you are concerned about protecting their privacy, then use the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) option. The receiver will see the words 'Undisclosed Group,' denoting that the e-mail was sent to a group, but no one else's email address is visible.

Remember - Visible e-mail addresses can be copied!  It is one way that "spammers" collect addresses.

How do I remove all those extra spaces when replying or forwarding e-mails.

E-mails that have been forwarded or have been replied to several times usually have extra lines and extra characters. You can get rid of all those lines and characters by clicking on Forward or Reply in your e-mail editor.

Once you have clicked Forward or Reply, the e-mail is opened into a 'EDIT' mode. This allows you to select extra lines and characters and delete them. Don't forget to remove the extra 'RE' or 'FWD' from the subject line. That shows everyone that you are "Cyber Savy".
